"Why are we doing this? What is it all about? Well obviously, no
messages have really been received from Tau Ceti. However,
I urge you to leave reality behind for a little while, and help us try to
understand the message. This should be a lot of fun for all involved, and
I hope it will show us just how far we have to go before we will be able
to understand any real messages we receive.
There have been projects like this before. However, they have always been
(in my opinion) fairly simple tests, being anthropomorphic in nature. What
I hope I have acheived (sic) here is something different. Through a lot
of time and effort a message has been developed that is fairly simple in
content, but very unusual in the way it is put together. It should be very
difficult to understand the way in which the message is written..... even
if you understand its contents. In fact , there are ways it could be made
more..... alien.....but then I don't think anyone would get it. As it is,
I predict it will take a few weeks anyway.
Then there's the other thing that differentiates this project from earlier
ones: you. Anyone can participate, and I hope anyone does. You can try anything
you like to decode the message.......write computer programs, show the message
to your friends, use books on cryptolography ....anything. Just remember
to share what you are doing and thinking with all of us. Use the Discussion
Page! This should be an interactive group project involving people from
around the planet. With the talent out there, it should be possible to solve
this first message.
Yes, I did say first message. There will soon follow others.
Over time, we will hopefully learn a good deal about the denizens of the
Tau Ceti system. Of course, that all depends on you....."
Eventually S.E.T.I. posted nine such messages on their web site and later
removed them abrubtly. By way of their web site S.E.T.I. generally informed
those nameless numbers of people (if any really exist?) who did attempt
to decipher their messages that many of them were "correct" in
concluding that the messages described a story of "creation."
S.E.T.I. did not provided any information that pertained to the meaning
of the tones of various pitch that composed the messages, nor did they explain
how these tones translated into the "fictious alien creation story."
I am definitely of the belief that S.E.T.I. would not have attempted their
"internet con" if they had been aware that the means to interpret
the nine e.t. messages already existed on the Earth for more than 23 years
in the form of the "Ra System of Mathematics."
This natural system of mathematics which nature uses to describe itself
was actually rediscovered by this author in November of 1975.
The term re discovered applies because it was later realized
that the Ra System was unquestionably used in the proportioning of the three
largest pyramids of Giza, Egypt, Stonehenge in England and the Pre-Columbian
city of Tiahuanaco-Bolivia, plus the buildings and spatial lay out of the
ancient Pre-Columbian cities of Teotihuacan and Palenque, Mexico. There
also exists strong evidence that this very same natural system of mathematics
was employed in the design and spatial lay out of apparent buildings, such
as what appears to be a gigantic carved human head located on the Cydonia
plain of the planet Mars.
The Ra System and its uses in ancient architecture is described in the nearly
1,000 page, 4 book series entitled the Rods of Amon Ra (R.O.A.R. 1987 by
W.H. Bateman). Note, that this work was copyrighted some 8 years before
the first S.E.T.I. message was received on January 30, 1995. Amon Ra is
the name of the ancient Egyptian sun god.
S.E.T.I. has offered that its 9 fictious e.t. messages should be imagined
to have been " broadcast on a wavelength of 21 cm, the so-called magic
frequency." The wavelength just mentioned has the related frequency
of 1,420,405,752.7 cycles per standard second of time (sst), which is well
known in physics as the hydrogen resonance frequency. This
frequency has long been considered the most likely frequency any extraterrestrial
culture would use to communicate to any other culture living elsewhere in
the universe.
It is apparent that the extraterrestrials who broadcast the nine messages
did so on the hydrogen resonance frequency and added weight to their original
message by including in it unmistakable basic information about the hydrogen
atom. This unique hydrogen information will come to light further on in
this writing when the interpretation of the first e.t. message is presented.
After reading this information I am certain that you will have no doubt
that the so called 9 S.E.T.I. messages are in fact authentic messages transmitted
from a culture living elsewhere in the vast universe and not the product
of a game maker's imagination.
BASIC RA SYSTEM INFORMATION NEEDED TO UNDERSTAND THE NINE AUTHENTIC
EXTRATERRESTRIAL MESSAGES
The following information is what is presently believed to be the most minimum
Ra System data one might need to interpret the 9 S.E.T.I. Messages. As further
work on the messages is conducted the information found in this section
may be expanded.
Rydberg Constant for hydrogen : Swedish physicist, Johannes
Robert Rydberg (1854-1919) determined that if the numerical units of 109,737.31
per centimeter was used in simple equations as a constant factor the spectral
wavelengths emitted by the element hydrogen from the deep infra red to the
ultra violet could be calculated mathematically.
The Ra value for the Rydberg Constant is: 109,739,369 per Ra Omega Minor
Centimeters.
Reciprocal of the Ra value for the Omega Minor value for the Rydberg
Constant is 9.1125. See R.O.A.R. (weight of the electron and heavy
qedet) .
Balmer Constant for hydrogen : German mathematician Johann Jakob
Balmer (?- 1898) investigated a series of numbers representing the visible
wavelengths of the lines of the hydrogen spectrum and found a formula that
mathematically expressed the wavelengths of the lines. This was:
Where m can have successive whole number values starting with 3 . If
3 = m then the wavelength can be calculated as equal to 656.21 millimicrons,
which is the wave length of the first visible line of the element.
The Ra value for the Balmer Constant is 364.5 (13.5 x 27).
This number has been mistaken in the Great Pyramid's (G.P.) base dimensions
as representing the 365.242 days of the solar year.
Balmer m3 calculated with the Ra value for the Balmer Constant equals 656.1
Ra Omega Major millimicrons (81 x 8.1).
The following is the list of hydrogen spectral lines calculated with the
Ra value for the Rydberg Constant (R) :
Several key Ra numbers such as 81 (9 x9) when used as a divisor give
us Ra plus or minus sequences or Ra Repitans as results. Such as:
1 /81 = .01234567m 90 . This is a Ra 1+ sequence. Note
that the 8 (m ) is missing from the string).
8 /81 = .098765432m 09 . This is a Ra 1- sequence. Note
that the 1 (m ) is missing from the string. Missing numbers
in the two previous sequences : 8 and 1 sum up to 9.
3 /81 = .037037-------- ( also 1/27) The First Ra Repitan of 27.
Note: When the first three digits of these repitans are added horizontally
they give their position in the table. Such as 0 + 3 + 7 = 10 and 1 + 0
= 1 .
Note: Repitan 18 (666---) must be placed in it own block for patterns
to reverse in the following blocks.
The 27 Ra Repitans are significantly expressed as 27 pairs of slots in
the curbs of the Grand Gallery of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The 28th pair
of slots representing 000 are located in the Great Step located at the top
of the Gallery.

The Grand Gallery of the Great Pyramid has seven ceilings which once consisted
of 37 individual over lapping stone slabs.
The seven ceiling represent the 7 periods of the "periodic table of
elements" (electron shells K to Q).
The 37 overlapping stones represent the repitans .027----- to .972-----
+ .999.
The builders of the Great Pyramid only use these numbers in the following
way: 27, 54. 81, ect.. These numbers are now called the Ra Table of Nines
(TON) because if they are added horizontally they will in every case total
9. Such as: 2 + 7 = 9, 5 + 4 = 9, 8 + 1 = 9 . This same type of horizontal
addition will carry over to the S.E.T.I. messages.
Knowledge of the Ra Table of Nines is required to interpret the nine
extraterrestrial S.E.T.I. messages as the pitch of the reported tones
relate to these numbers.
The Ra value for the "Fine Structure Constant" (FSC) for hydrogen
is .00137174211248 (in relationship to expressed repitan values). The FSC
is the result of .037037--- 2 (first repitan squared) or 1 / 729 (27 x27).
The Ra value for FSC is 1 / 8 the Ra value for the Rydberg Constant
for hydrogen.
All Ra + and - sequences and Repitans are multiples of the Ra value for
the FSC. Such as:
1 /81 = .01234567m 90 / FSC = 9.
8 /81 = .098765432m 09 / FSC = 72.
3 /81 = .037037-------- / FSC = 27.
The Ra System can be expressed in 7 known formats: These formats are
presently referred to as : Omega Major, Irrational Red, Red, Green, Irrational
Blue, Blue and Omega Minor.
Some Ra values shown in five of the Ra formats are depicted below.
Ra sequences and Repitans are Omega Minor numbers. Ra Table of Nines
and wavelengths of the hydrogen spectral lines are Omega Major numbers.
An Omega Major number revealed exclusively by the S.E.T.I. messages (not known of previously) is 3.14928. This number will henceforth be refered to as "Elemental Pi (el pi)." One half of this value (1.57464) was recognized in the third section of the first S.E.T.I. message.
" The original message consists of 571 characters, a long pause
of 17.71 seconds, then a repeat of the sequence. The characters were arranged
by pitch. There were 19 unique tones in the original message, here labeled
"A" through "S." "A" is the lowest tone and
"S" is the highest. Each tone lasts about .492 seconds. The entire
sequence, including the pause took 298.61 seconds, or about 4 minutes and
59 seconds."
Total tones: 571. Individual tone time: .492075 Natural Seconds (n.s.).
Total tone time: 280.974825 n.s.. Time lapse before message repeated: 17.7147
n.s. (17.7147 is equal to .492075 X 36).
Each section is bracketed by the letter G (189). The sections
below have been spaced apart for easier reading.There are 46 G---G
sections.
G or 189 is the 7th number in the Ra Table of Nines. It
is believed that this number in the E.T. messages relates to the 7 periods
of the periodic table of elements or electron shells K to Q.

When the numerical values for the tones are arranged vertically and then
added horizontally (as per the TON) the sum of these horizontal additions
in the case of section 1 is 45 (5 x 9). See the example below:
Section 2: G BBG = 54. Section 3: G
BBBG = 63. Section 4: G BBBBG
= 72. And Section 5: G BBBBBG = 81. Each
of these section sums can be evenly divided by 9 . The
respective section sums themselves are separated by 9. That is:
45 + 9 =54 + 9 = 63 +
9 =72 + 9 = 81 . The number 81 is equal
to 9 squared (9 x 9).
The point made here is that the first 5 sections of the first message (at
the very least) were intended to make clear that the tone values were related
to multiples of the number 9 and that the number 81 is
paramount.
The data below was presented earlier. It is repeated here now that it
has gained increased significance.
The number 81 (9 x9 or 27 x 3) is the 3rd number in the Ra Table of Nines
(T.O.N.) and a key number in the natural Ra System of Mathematics. When
used as a divisor the Ra plus and minus sequences and the 27 Ra Repitans
are produced.
1: 1 / 81 = .01234567m 9 (plus Ra sequence). Note that
the number 8 is missing (m ) from the sequence.
2: 8 / 81 = .098765432m 0 (minus Ra sequence). Note that
the number 1 is missing (m ) from the sequence. The missing
numbers 1 and 8 equal 9.
3: 3 / 81 = .037037--- or 1 / 27 (first Ra Repitan).
It was mentioned earlier that the pause that occurs between any repeated
transmission of a S.E.T.I. message is 17.7147 n.s.. When the length of this
pause is divided by 36 (4 x 9) the result is .492075 n.s. (duration of any
single tone).
When the single "B" tone (54) of section one is divided by .492075
(duration of the tone) the result is : 109.7393690. This
number is the Omega Minor version of the Ra value for the "Rydberg
Constant" for the element hydrogen.
NOTE : Write 54 as .54. for Rydberg exact match.
S.E.T.I reported that the 9 messages were received on the
21. centimeter wave length (frequency). It was mentioned earlier that this
frequency of about 1,420,405,752.7 cycle per second is also called the "hydrogen
resonance frequency."
Because they were using the "hydrogen resonance frequency" to
broadcast their messages they transmitted a number that definitely pertains
to the spectral activity of the hydrogen atom which is known to us as the
Rydberg Constant. This can be no coincidence or the result of chance. At
this point it is quite safe to say we are not alone
in universe.
(SECTION VALUE 54)
The only possible calculation one could make would be to multiply the
tone values. 54 (B) x 54 (B) = 2,916 sq. units. Also the area of the square:
81 x 36 .
The diagonal of such a square would be : 76.367532368. The Base of the Great
Pyramid of Giza consists of 763.67532368 green Ra feet. See R.O.A.R. Vol.
2, book A, page 42.
When the area of the 54 x 54 square is divided by the time duration of
one tone (.492075 n.s.) the result is: 5925.92592--- (16 th Ra repitan or
16 / 27).
When the diagonal of the 54 x 54 square in Omega Major units (759.375 sq
units ) is divided by the time duration of one tone (.492075 n.s.) the result
is: The Ra minus (-) sequence 1,543.2m 0987654--- . This
sequence amounts to 1,125,000. fine structure units.
The reciprocals of either of these values is 1/4 the value of their respective
format pi values.
The so called "Horizontal Passage" to the "Queen's Chamber
in the Great Pyramid of Giza from its start to the point of the "mysterious
step" in Ra feet is equal to the length of this diameter. The length
of this diameter in Ra feet divided into the length of the pyramid's base
equals 6 .
Dividing the green value for this diameter in the folowing ways give us

This value as a Ra unit of measure was used to lay out both the individual
dimensions and spatial separations of the pyramids and buildings of Teotihucan,
Mexico. This unit of measure is called the "Hunab."
1.125 = 1.060660172 (green Hunab value).
There are 150 ankh units in the base length of both the Great
Pyramid of Giza and the Pyramid of the Sun at Teotihuacan. Mexico.
It has now been determined that the pause of 17.7147 n.s. that exists
between the repeat of any of the 9 S.E.T.I. is actually a circumference
and the individual tone duration of .492075 n.s. represents 1 degree.
The diameter of this circle is 5.668704 Omega Major units.
This information supports the fact that the first S.E.T.I. message pertains
to the spectral lines of the element hydrogen.
View tone values between G---G sections as degree values.
Message 1, Section 1: GBG (189 - 54 - 189) --- .54 x 360 = 194.4 (circumference).
1944. is the wavelength of the Brackett m8 spectral line of hydrogen (deep
infra red).
Message 1, Section 2: GBBG (189 - 54 - 54 -189) --- .54 + .54 = 1.08 and
1.08 x 360 = 388.8 (circumference). 388.8. is the wavelength of the Balmer
m8 spectral line of hydrogen (visible).
Message 1, Section 3: GBBBG (189 - 54 - 54 - 54 - 189) --- .54 + .54 + .54
= and 1.62 x 360 = 583.2 (circumference). And 5832. / 12 = 486.
486 is the 18 th number in the TON and also the wavelength of the Balmer
m4 spectral line of hydrogen (visible).
Regarding 5832 see R.O.A.R. -Area of the base of the Great Pyramid in square
green feet and heigth of 5832 green Ra inches.
Message 1, Section 4: GBBBBG (189 - 54 - 54 - 54 - 54 - 189) --- .54 + .54
+ .54 + .54 = 2.16 and 2.16 x 360 = 777.6 (circumference). In this case
777.6 / .492075 ( time duration of 1 tone) = 1580.24691358. This value written
as 1.58024691358 is 1/2 of Omega Minor pi ( 3.160493827). Ra Omega Minor
numbers are expressed in the geometry of the so called crop glyphs that
have been found impressed in English grain fields.
Message 1, Section 5: GBBBBBG (189 - 54 - 54 - 54 - 54 - 54 - 189) --- .54
+ .54 + .54 + .54 + .54 + .54 = 2.7 and 2.7 x 360 = 972 (circumference).
972. is the wavelength of the Lyman m4 spectral line of hydrogen (ultra
violet). 972. is also the 36 th number in TON.
As mentioned above; the diameter of a circle that has a 17.7147 Omega Major
unit circumference has a diameter of 5.668704 Omega Major units.
5.668704 (diameter) / .216 (TON 8) = 26.244 (see hydrogen Brackett m8 spectral
line)
5. 668704 (diameter) / 3.14928 (el pi) = 1.8
5.668704 (diameter) / 17.7147 (circumference and also the duration of the
period of silence between the repeat of a particular message) = .32 (reciprocal
of Omega Major pi or 3.125).
5.668704 (diameter) / .492075 (time duration of a single tone) = 11.52 (Omega
Minor value x 10 - 2 for the circumference of the "Balmer Circle").
This circumference is the product of a diameter of 364.5 (Balmer Constant)
x Ra pi. In this case the Ra value for Omega Minor pi x 364.5 gives us this
circumference in Omega Minor units.
This time a cube is formed by the following multiplication of .54 (B)
x .54 (B) x .54 (B). The result is: .15746 cubic Omega Major units. Two
times this Omega Major value x 10 is 3.14928 . The number 3.14928 is now
refered to as el pi.
When .15746 is divided by the duration of 1 tone (.492075 n.s.) the result
is .32 which is in turn the reciprocal of 3.125 (Omega Major pi).
Such as cube would have the surface area of 1.7496 square units.
When the length of the horizontal passage to the Queen's Chamber (see
length of the diameter of the Ra Circle mentioned earlier) in Ra feet is
divided in to the length of the Grand Gallery the result is the Ra plus
sequence 1.234567m 90. When the length of the horizontal
passage to the Queen's Chamber is divided in to the length of the "ascending
passage" the result is the Ra minus sequence 9.8765432m

In sum, the universal mathematical constants discovered to exist in Message
1 and their indisputable tie-in with known and excepted scientific principals
(as well as the singular geometry of extraordinary ancient structures) leads
to but one conclusion: the Messages could only have emanated from a highly
intelligent extraterrestrial source attempting to initiate serious contact
with Earth.
